The festive season continues across the country including Delhi. As soon as dussehra festival is over, people are now busy preparing for Diwali. Along with painting and cleaning, people have also started shopping. Meanwhile, like every time, this time too the delhi government has completely banned the use of firecrackers on the occasion of Diwali. bjp leader praveen Shankar has raised questions on this decision of the delhi government. He has asked the delhi government whether diwali would have been banned even if it was a festival related to another religion? He has said that this decision of the delhi government is completely wrong.
Ban on firecrackers is condemnable
delhi bjp spokesperson praveen Shankar Kapoor has given a strong reaction to this order of the AAP government. He said that it is condemnable that the Atishi Marlena government is banning firecrackers year after year without presenting any scientific research. He said that bjp is with the delhi government in taking strict action against the two major causes of winter pollution, stubble burning in punjab and dust in delhi, but our party is not ready to accept that all the pollution increases due to burning of firecrackers for just three to four hours.
AAP also backed out from promoting green crackers
praveen Shankar Kapoor says that scientific reports consider stubble and dust as the cause of pollution. Till date, the delhi government has never presented any such report that winter pollution increases due to the firecrackers burnt on the night of Diwali. So then on what basis does the government impose a ban every year? He said that a few years ago, the then arvind kejriwal government itself had promoted green crackers, but now it has backed out from that too. Let us tell you that on Monday, the delhi government has issued an order imposing a complete ban on the use of firecrackers till january 1, 2025. During this period, there will be a complete ban on the manufacturing, storage, sale, online trade and bursting of all types of firecrackers.
