Justin Trudeau appoints Daniel Rogers as new head of CSIS!

Daniel Rogers has been appointed as the new head of Canada's spy agency. In fact, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has appointed Rogers as the new director of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service. He will take over on october 28. According to the information, earlier the director of the Canadian Security Intelligence service was David Vigneault, who served as director in the intelligence service for seven years. At the same time, after retirement, he joined the American intelligence firm Strider. Now Daniel Rogers will replace David Vigneault.

Rogers has recently served as Deputy National Security and Intelligence Advisor to the prime minister and Deputy Secretary of the Cabinet. Prior to this, he has also worked in Communication Security Establishment Canada, whose job is to provide intelligence information of foreign signals to the government and protect electronic communications and information.

According to a Canadian press report, a CSIS officer says that a senior colleague raped her nine times in surveillance vehicles in 2019 and 2020. A second officer said that the same man later sexually assaulted her, while CSIS officers were warned not to keep him with young women.
