Reportedly the gujarat government on tuesday auctioned 25 large and 2,280 small mineral blocks on the occasion of Entrepreneurship Day. Also, letters of intent (LOIs) were given to eligible lease holders. A government statement said that chief minister Bhupendra patel handed over the LOIs to the lease holders and mentioned the contribution of entrepreneurs in Gujarat's development journey. Perhaps the statement said, "Under the development week, the state government has so far successfully auctioned 25 large mineral blocks and issued letters of intent to 20 lease holders." Apart from this, 2280 small mineral blocks have also been successfully auctioned.
Furthermore apart from this, under ease of doing business, the state government has launched an application-based system for quick grant of leases of small mines on private land. patel also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of infrastructure projects worth Rs 564 crore for state-run industrial estates through video conference under Vikas Saptah.
Moreover entrepreneurship Day was celebrated as part of Vikas Saptah at mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar. During this, chief minister Bhupendra patel provided LOIs to eligible lease holders. At the same time, he also highlighted the contribution of entrepreneurs in the development journey of Gujarat. At the same time, letters of intent were given for Shepa Limestone and Marl Block and Varvada Limestone and Marl Block. Bharat Quarry workers were given a 50 year mining lease in the Shepa Limestone and Marl Block located in Junagadh district. The chief minister said that minerals play an important role in various industries and infrastructure development projects of the state. The minor minerals rules were amended on october 12 to allow application-based lease allotment for private land up to 4 hectares as part of the EoDB initiative.
