China confirmed the end of the standoff in LAC…?

India-China: china also confirmed the end of the standoff in LAC; 2020 situation will be restored in eastern Ladakh

After the exercise between india and china at the military and diplomatic level, an agreement has been reached on patrolling and reducing military tension on the Line of Actual Control (LAC). After indianow China has also stated the end of the deadlock on the LAC. Confirming the end of the deadlock and the agreement with india, china has said that an agreement has been reached on the LAC in eastern Ladakh. It is worth noting that yesterday the Foreign Secretary of india also stated this. Lin Jian issued a statement.

China's Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian said that india and china have been in close contact through diplomatic and military channels on issues related to the border of both countries. Now both sides have reached a solution on relevant matters which China greatly appreciates. Jian said that china will work closely with india to implement these proposals. However, he did not give much information about the agreement.

At the same time, when he was asked about the meeting between prime minister Narendra Modi and the Chinese President on the sidelines of the BRICS summit in Kazan, he did not give a direct answer. He said that if anything comes out regarding the meeting, we will keep you informed.

A day before china confirmed, Foreign Secretary vikram Misri announced this decision, saying that since the incidents on the Line of Actual Control in 2020, we have been in constant touch with the Chinese side at the military and diplomatic level. Several rounds of talks have taken place between the two countries at the WMCC and military commander level.

After the talks held in the last few weeks, a consensus has been reached on the arrangement of military patrolling in the India-China border area. Due to this, the military face-off situation has now been resolved. The consensus specifically relates to patrolling in the Depsang and Demchok areas.

Foreign minister S jaishankar also reacted to the agreement reached between india and china on border patrolling on the LAC. He said we can say that the process of withdrawal of troops from china has been completed. We will be able to patrol the places where we were before 2020. I think this is a good development.

Due to the increased confrontation after the Galwan Valley conflict, 50 to 60 thousand soldiers of both countries were deployed on the LAC. india prepared a strategy similar to Doklam to deal with China. In the Doklam dispute, india was adamant on the condition of china withdrawing its army, while in this dispute it was adamant on the condition of restoring the situation before 2020. However, seven years ago in the Doklam dispute, china softened its tone after just 72 days, while this time the tussle continued for four and a half years. Both the disputes were settled before the BRICS summit. In the year 2017, china withdrew troops from Doklam after PM Modi's message of absence from the BRICS summit being hosted by it. This time too, China's stance softened before the BRICS summit to be held in Russia.

About four and a half years ago, on june 15, 2020, 20 soldiers including an Indian colonel had to sacrifice their lives in the bloody conflict between indian and Chinese soldiers in the Galwan Valley. According to various reports, 40 PLA personnel were killed in this conflict. This was the first time since the 1962 war that the armies of the two countries clashed directly.
