congress on thursday (October 24) released its first list of 48 candidates for the maharashtra assembly elections. In this, state unit chief Nana Patole has been given ticket from Sakoli, former chief minister Prithviraj Chavan from Karad South and leader of Opposition in the outgoing assembly Vijay Wadettiwar from Brahmapuri. The party has given tickets again to 25 sitting MLAs in the first list.

congress has given tickets to former ministers Nitin Raut and balasaheb thorat from nagpur North and Sangamner, Jyoti Eknath Gaikwad from Dharavi. Jyoti Gaikwad is the sister of mumbai congress chief varsha Gaikwad, who was a four-time Dharavi mla before being elected to the lok sabha from mumbai North Central in the 2024 general elections. amit Deshmukh has been given ticket from Latur city and Dheeraj Deshmukh from Latur rural.

Who got the ticket from where?

Let us tell you that amit and Dheeraj Deshmukh are the sons of former chief minister and veteran congress leader late Vilasrao Deshmukh. Mohammad Arif Naseem Khan has been fielded from Chandivali, Aslam Sheikh from Malad West, Ranjit Kamble from Deoli and Vikas thackeray from nagpur West, while in Raver of Jalgaon district, the party has fielded dhananjay Chaudhary, son of sitting mla Shirish Chaudhary. Muzaffar Hussain has been fielded from Mira Bhayander seat of thane district.

In Bhokar assembly, Congress's Trupti Kondekar will face BJP's Shrijaya Chavan, who is the daughter of rajya sabha MP ashok Chavan. He has been a former chief minister and recently left congress and joined BJP. ashok Chavan's relative Meenal Khatgaonkar has been fielded by congress from Naigaon, while Praful Gudhe will face senior bjp leader and maharashtra Deputy chief minister devendra fadnavis from nagpur South West assembly seat.

congress has given tickets to former MLAs Gopaldas Aggarwal and sunil Deshmukh from Gondia and Amravati. Both had joined the bjp, but recently returned to the Congress. This list comes after the maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) constituents congress, ncp (SP) and shiv sena (UBT) announced to contest 85-85 seats in the elections to be held on november 20. However, discussions are still going on to reach a final agreement. The three allies are discussing dividing the remaining 33 seats out of a total of 288 among themselves and smaller parties.
