In view of the maharashtra assembly elections, Union minister Ramdas Athawale's party RPI (A) has got 2 seats in Mahayuti. Kalina assembly seat has been given from bjp quota while Dharavi seat has been given from Eknath Shinde faction's shiv sena quota. Amarjeet Singh will be the RPI candidate from Kalina seat. Meanwhile, Union minister Athawale has expressed displeasure over getting only two seats. He said that our party's seats were not considered seriously.

Union minister and RPI (A) chief ramdas athawale said during a press conference, "There is a competition between Mahayuti and Mahavikas Aghadi. We have been with Mahayuti for the last 12 years, since then this alliance has been called Mahayuti. We had given a list of 21 seats. These included some seats from Mumbai, Western maharashtra, Marathwada.''

We expected to get 8-10 seats- Ramdas Athawale

He further said, ''We expected that our party would get 8-10 seats in the Mahayuti but there is a competition for seats among them. Then I had talked about 5 to 6 seats. In this, we have been given 2 seats. We have been given Dharavi and Kalina assembly seats in the Mahayuti. In which Kalina assembly seat has been given from bjp quota and Dharavi assembly seat has been given from shiv sena quota.''

Our party's seats not considered seriously- Athawale

Union minister Athawale further said, ''Many seats were demanded for our party but we were not considered seriously. Not much attention was paid to me. I have to take care of my party workers. Along with this, I have been assured that my party will be given ministerial post, Legislative Council, Mahamandal. All workers are requested to work for the Mahayuti.''
