The Ontario Sikh Council strongly condemns the attack...?
The Ontario Sikh and Gurudwara Council (OSGC) has condemned the attack on the Hindu Sabha temple in Brampton and the assault on Hindus. They have termed any incident of violence as wrong. The council has demanded the local police to investigate the matter and take strict action against the culprits.
The Ontario Sikh and Gurdwara Council said in a statement, "This incident at the temple is reprehensible and reminds us of the need for understanding and mutual respect in our community. In addition to creating an atmosphere where people can feel secure and respected regardless of their views, OSGC is dedicated to safeguarding the safety and wellbeing of every member of the community.
"Violence has no place in our society."
We urge the local authorities to carry out a comprehensive inquiry into this situation, the council added. We also reaffirm that violence has no place in our society. Additionally, we urge the leaders and people of both communities to unite, support one another, and foster a compassionate and united environment.
What was said by Justin Trudeau?
Justin Trudeau, the prime minister of Canada, has denounced this occurrence. He declared that the violent incidents at Brampton's Hindu Sabha Mandir are intolerable. Every Canadian person is free to practice their religion as they see fit. I express my gratitude to the Canadian government for ensuring the safety of the Hindu community and for acting quickly to launch an investigation into this occurrence. The Peel Regional police have my gratitude.
The incident was also denounced by the indian High Commission.
Regarding this incident, the Trudeau administration has also come under fire from the indian High Commission. "We witnessed violent disruptions by anti-India elements outside the Consulate camp organized in collaboration with the Hindu Sabha Mandir in Brampton near Toronto today," the indian High Commission said in a statement. As is customary in consular activity, the Canadian authorities were already asked to implement strict security precautions for these activities given the present security situation in Canada.
