Currently ahead of the maharashtra assembly elections, Samajwadi party (SP) leader Abu Azmi attended the Mahavikas Aghadi (MVA) public meeting in Mumbai's BKC. Before 2014, there was never any mob lynching in Maharashtra. people are being beaten up in the name of beef."

Meanwhile Abu Azmi further said, "There was no such thing as love Jihad. Now love Jihad, Land Jihad and Vote Jihad are happening. Are these people illiterate, have they not studied?" Along with this, he said, "Now their intention is to grab the land of Waqf Board of Muslims. These lands were never touched by the British. Chhatrapati shivaji Maharaj donated 700 acres of land. Now this is not being digested."

Moreover Abu Azmi said that 'we will eat half roti, will make Mahavikas Aghadi win'. He said that our only goal is 'Remove bjp, save the country.'
