Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation has handed over its 15 bus depots to private hands. Now the repair work of buses in these depots will be handled by private firms. Awadh bus Depot of lucknow is also included in these 15 bus depots. Let us tell you that with the aim of increasing the capacity of the workshops of the Transport Corporation, a tender was issued to give the workshops of 19 depots on tender through outsourcing, out of which the tender of 15 depots has been approved.
The 15 bus depots which have been handed over to private hands for maintenance work are Lucknow's Awadh Depot, Nazirabad Depot, Hardoi Depot, zero Road Depot, Taj Depot, Deoria Depot, Sahibabad Depot, varanasi Cantt Depot, Sultanpur Depot, jhansi Depot, Ballia Depot, Banda Depot, Badaun Depot, Etawah Depot and Balrampur Depot. According to the information received, the maintenance work of buses has been done by private companies due to lack of technical staff.
Maintenance work given to these companies
The companies which have been given the work of maintenance of these buses are SDL Enterprises, rk Automobile and shyam Enterprises. After initially looking at their working system, the maintenance work of buses in the remaining 100 depots can also be given to private companies in the coming days. Due to the lack of technical staff and officers in the workshops, the buses of the Transport Corporation were facing maintenance problems. The department believes that private companies will maintain the buses with good quality.
Stations will be developed under the PPP model
The State Road Transport Corporation has planned to modernize the 23 stations on the PPP model. Under this, contracts have been signed with the firm working for 11 bus stations. These bus stations will be very modern and equipped with all facilities. Along with the bus station, these will have facilities like various types of outlets, multiplexes and will be very spectacular to look at.
