The supreme court has given a big decision and clarified that the minority status of aligarh Muslim university will remain intact. The supreme court on friday overturned the old decision by a majority of 4-3. A bench of 7 judges of the supreme court has given this decision. Now the court has given the responsibility to a bench of three judges to re-determine the minority status of AMU on the basis of the principles given in this new decision.
A student named Mohammad Sadiq said, "This decision of the supreme court is very welcome and we are very happy with it. The central government is only doing the politics of appeasement and they have nothing to do with education. But we expected a positive result from the supreme Court."
Another student said that I welcome the decision of the supreme court and take it positively. The Constitution gives us the right to be retained as a minority institution.
Another student said, "I am a student in AMU and am in the first semester of BA B.Ed. course. A big decision of the supreme court has come recently, which we are very happy about. The decision came in our favor. The supreme court has heard our case. We were hoping that the decision would come in our favor."
