Dominica announces to give its highest honor to Modi!

The honour given to prime minister Narendra Modi by dominica is not only a symbol of friendship and cooperation between india and dominica but it is also a recognition of India's support during the difficult time of the global pandemic.

The government of dominica has decided to honor Indian prime minister Narendra Modi for helping their country during the Kovid-19 epidemic and for strengthening relations between the two countries. For this, Dominica's highest national award, the "Dominica Award of Honor", will be given to PM Modi.


The Prime Minister's office of dominica has said in its statement that this award will be given as a symbol of gratitude for the indian support received by dominica during the Kovid-19 epidemic and the growing partnership between the two countries.

India's contribution and vaccine diplomacy

Prime minister Narendra Modi's government provided 70,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine to dominica during Kovid-19 in february 2021. This supply of vaccine was done under India's "Vaccine Maitri" policy, which aimed to help developing countries fight the epidemic.

Award ceremony at India-CARICOM summit

Dominican President Sylvani Berton will confer this honor to PM Modi during the upcoming India-CARICOM (Caribbean Community) summit. This summit will be held in Georgetown, guyana between 19 and 21 November. On this occasion, further strengthening of relations between india and Caribbean countries will be considered.
