The condition in Amethi is such that farmers stand in line in the dark of the morning, but despite getting tokens and slips, they are not getting DAP. Farmers allege that fertilizer is given from inside only to the rich and the known people, while the poor people are left standing in the line. Farmers have been running around for many days with the copy of Khatauni and aadhar card. Long queues are being seen at the government fertilizer sales center.

Fight for fertilizer in Ghazipur

The situation in Ghazipur is no different, there is a fight for DAP fertilizer here too. Farmers are not getting fertilizer as per their requirement. Middlemen have captured the fertilizer. The district administration has been instructed to give only 1 to 2 bags per 3 acres. Which is insufficient for the farmers. The farmers have given a memorandum to the divisional district officer in this regard and have demanded to provide DAP. SP district President Gopal Singh Yadav in Ghazipur said that at present farmers are facing the problem of DAP fertilizer in sowing potatoes and wheat. While big announcements are being made by the government. At the same time, only one or two bags of fertilizer are being given to the farmers at the committees. Many times the farmers have to return empty handed.

Fake fertilizer busted in Mahoba

Taking advantage of the shortage of fertilizer in Mahoba, gangs selling fake fertilizer have also become active. police raided an illegal fertilizer factory here and recovered a large quantity of fake fertilizer, sacks, packing machines and chemicals. The accused were bringing fake fertilizer from madhya pradesh and selling it in UP. police recovered 53 sacks of fake fertilizer, chemicals, empty sacks and packing machines and other material from the spot. The accused were buying substandard fertilizer from madhya pradesh and mixing chemicals in it and selling it to farmers in UP at double the price.
