The gates of the tourist ranges of Rajaji tiger Reserve, full of natural beauty, have been opened for tourists from Friday. Wildlife exponent Harish Negi inaugurated this tourist season by cutting the ribbon at around 7 am in the Motichur range. On the occasion of the inauguration, the 60-member team from the Ministry of Defense, New delhi was welcomed by the forest workers by applying tilak and garlands. Due to which enthusiasm was seen among the tourists and local people present there. On this occasion, the gate was decorated attractively to welcome the tourists.
Rajaji tiger Reserve is one of the major national parks of uttarakhand which is famous for its wildlife diversity and rich biological diversity. Spread over an area of about 820 square kilometers, this reserve is located in Haridwar, dehradun and Pauri Garhwal districts. In Rajaji tiger Reserve, tourists get an opportunity to see various types of wildlife and birds closely. Apart from elephants, tigers, leopards, spotted deer, sambar and peacocks, many such animals and birds are found here which are included in the endangered species.
Famous for elephant conservation
Rajaji tiger Reserve is mainly famous for elephant conservation. There is a good number of elephants in this part of india and special efforts are made for their conservation. Apart from this, an increase in the number of tigers has also been seen in Rajaji in the last few years, which has made this place even more attractive for tourists. Tourists can see tigers in the Cheela, Motichur and Haridwar ranges of the park. To increase the number of tigers, wildlife conservation officials have shifted four tigers from jim corbett tiger Reserve to Motichur range of Rajaji, which has further increased the number of tigers here.
Enjoyment of Safari for Tourists
Jungle Safari facility is available for tourists in Rajaji tiger Reserve which takes them to the depths of the forest and gives them a close experience of wildlife. Through safari in Cheela and Motichur range, tourists can see tigers, elephants and other wildlife in natural environment. Through this safari, tourists are able to see wild animals amidst dense forests, high hills and calm water streams, which is a unique experience for them. During the safari, tourists have to follow the rules and safety instructions of the forest by trained guides so that the safety of both wildlife and tourists can be ensured.
