Perhaps this year half of november has passed and the rosy winters are showing their colours. In such a situation, if we talk about the prices of vegetables, they have started to soften a bit and the prices of some seasonal vegetables are also coming down a little. If we look at the prices of onions among the routine vegetables used daily in the houses, then they are still at the upper level and due to this the common people are still feeling the burden on their pockets.
Hence according to the report of ICICI bank, onion prices will not come down in the remaining days of this November. It is a matter of relief that a decline of 4.1 percent in the prices of other vegetables can be seen on a month-on-month basis in November. The latest monthly report of the bank states that the core inflation rate in october was at 6.21 percent which is its 14-month high. In September, it was at 5.49 percent.
Earlier in September, there was a continuous upward pressure on the prices of edible oil and vegetables and the effect of reduced arrival of vegetables in the markets has been seen in the form of increase in their prices. At the same time, the thing to be kept in mind is that now when the prices of tomatoes are coming down, there will be upward pressure on the prices of onion, which is expected to continue throughout November. Arrival of vegetables increases in winter, such a trend has also started appearing in the markets. The prices of vegetables like spinach, cabbage, fenugreek, bathua are in the initial stage at this time, so they are looking a little high, but they are expected to decrease this week because the supply is very good and according to the demand, there is a possibility of a lot of sale. However, onion is also expected to remain expensive because it will take time for its fresh supply to come.
