Farmers are preparing to march to delhi once again. On december 6, farmers will march to delhi from Shambhu Border. Farmers have been protesting at the Shambhu border of Punjab-Haryana as well as Khanauri border since february 13, demanding legal guarantee for MSP and implementation of swaminathan Commission recommendations. The farmers were to march to delhi on february 13, but they were stopped from proceeding by haryana police and Central Armed police Forces, after which they are protesting at Shambhu and Khanauri border.
Farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher said that they have been silent for nine months, but they are being neglected by the then governments. Because of this, they have been forced to take a decision. He said that during the march to delhi, they will not move forward by tractor-trolley, but as a group. He has demanded the government to provide space for the demonstration. He said that we will march to delhi on 6 december, the government has time till 6 December. Even after this, if the government does not solve our issue, then we will not step back and will march with hands. We will not go with vehicles. He said that we will also move forward from the wall that has been erected on the Shambhu border. We have asked for space in Jantar-Mantar and Ramlila Ground for the demonstration.
Pandher said that the government should give us a chance so that we can present our side and provide space for the demonstration. He said that now it is up to the government whether they have to end the matter by throwing bombs on the farmers or through a meeting.
Dallewal has announced a fast unto death
Earlier, United Kisan Morcha leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal has also announced a fast unto death. He will sit on a hunger strike from november 26. At Kisan Bhawan, Chandigarh, the leaders of Kisan Mazdoor Morcha (India) and Samyukta Kisan Morcha (non-political) had also said that the government is not serious about the issues of the farmers.
