Reportedly delhi Metro is not just a public transport service but has become the lifeline of the people of Delhi. Today, if people have to go from one place to another within delhi, they choose metro as the first option for travel. This is the reason why delhi Metro has once again made a record of maximum 'passenger journey' in a day by breaking its previous record of maximum passengers traveling in a day.
Perhaps according to Anuj Dayal, Principal Executive director of DMRC, on Monday, november 18, a total of 78 lakh 67 thousand 17 passengers traveled by metro including all the routes of the metro, which is the highest in the history of metro so far. Earlier, on august 20, 2024, the number of passengers traveling in the metro train was recorded at 77 lakh 49 thousand 682. But on Monday, the metro has broken that record and set a new record. The special thing is that the top 25 highest passenger records have been made by the delhi Metro this year and that too between august 2024 to november 18, 2024. Among these, the day on august 23, when the least number of passengers traveled in the metro, its number was also around 73 lakh.
Moreover the delhi Metro rail Corporation (DMRC) has broken its passenger travel record several times since august, which shows that people are adopting an eco-friendly system. The increasing popularity of the metro not only reduces traffic problems, but also reduces pollution caused by vehicles, which improves the air quality of the city and its surroundings. The increased number of passengers in the Metro has once again proved that the Metro is the lifeline of delhi and Delhiites cannot get a better option than this for a comfortable and smooth journey. It also helps a lot in saving the environment of delhi because the more people leave their personal vehicles and travel by Metro, the less carbon emissions take place in the environment of Delhi.
