In the trends so far of the counting of votes for the by-elections held on nine assembly seats of Uttar Pradesh, which is going on amid tight security since 8 am on Saturday, the ruling bharatiya janata party (BJP) led national democratic alliance (NDA) is ahead on seven seats and the state's main opposition party Samajwadi party (SP) is ahead on two seats. In UP, SP is seen winning only two seats. Meanwhile, SP leader IP Singh said, 'The governments of the states in power have won. In West Bengal, TMC has won all 6 seats, while congress has won 3 seats in Karnataka, while aam aadmi party has won 3 seats in Punjab.'
The SP leader said, 'In 2012, SP was in power in UP, out of BJP's 14 seats, SP had won 11 seats, bjp had come down to 30-35 seats, when the general elections were held, bjp won 325 seats. victory in by-elections does not make much difference.' According to the election Commission, apart from BJP's ally Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) in Meerapur, bjp is ahead in Kundarki, ghaziabad, Khair, Majhawan, Katehari and Phulpur.
Big lead on these seats
SP candidates are leading in Karhal and Sisamau assembly seats. According to this, RLD's Mithilesh Pal in Meerapur is ahead of his nearest rival SP's Sumbul Rana by 19,785 votes, BJP's Ramveer Singh in Kundarki is ahead of his nearest rival SP's Mohammad Rizwan by 98,537 votes, BJP's sanjeev Sharma in ghaziabad is ahead of SP's Singhraj Jatav by 59,707 votes. Similarly, in Khair (SC), BJP's Surendra Diler is leading by 35,702 votes over his SP rival Charu Ken, in Phulpur, BJP's deepak Patel is leading by 8,233 votes over SP candidate Mohammad Mujtaba Siddiqui and in Majhawan, BJP's Suchismita Maurya is leading by 3,871 votes over SP candidate Dr. Jyoti Bind.
