Amid the uproar over the Uttar Pradesh by-election, the Samajwadi party has placed a big demand before the election Commission. The SP has demanded re-polling at 52 booths of Meerapur assembly seat. The SP alleged that during voting at these booths, attempts were made to intimidate voters and stop them from voting. After this, the SP demanded the suspension of many policemen.
Samajwadi party state president shyam Lal Pal has written a letter to the election commission in this regard and demanded re-voting at 52 booths of Meerapur. He gave the numbers of all these booths and demanded that SHO Rajiv Sharma of Kakrauli police station be sent to jail and demanded the suspension of many policemen. The SP has also mentioned the names of many other policemen in the letter.

SP wrote that a video went viral of SHO Rajiv Sharma in Kakarwali breaking all limits and stopping women voters from voting by pointing a revolver at them and threatening to shoot them. The police officer disgraced democracy by flouting the code of conduct and did not let people vote. SP alleged that police officers deployed a large number of police force in Muslim dominated villages at night and threatened voters by going from house to house and putting up barricades to stop them from going out. police tore the slips of women voters and threw them away and lathicharged them. SP wrote that the policemen kept the identity cards of the voters and sent them back to the village accusing them of not matching the photo.
SP demanded that Inspector rajeev Sharma be arrested and sent to jail. Along with this, it demanded immediate suspension of police Inspector Bablu Kumar, town in-charge Virendra, police station Head Qutubsher HN Singh, Inspector Mahavir Chauhan, women police station in-charge Sangeeta Chauhan, SI Anil Kumar Tomar, police station Head sunil Kasana, Inspector dharmendra Kumar and bulandshahr police Inspector Premchandra Sharma.
