On this, BJP's state president Chandrashekhar Bawankule on sunday took a dig at the congress and said that there will be no leader of Opposition in the state assembly.

According to news agency ANI, Chandrashekhar Bawankule said, "This time there will be no leader of Opposition in Maharashtra. This is the result of the wrong deeds of congress and the opposition. They spread the wrong narrative in the lok sabha and cheated the voters. When people got a bad idea of this in the assembly elections, they were thrown out like in Haryana."

Bawankule's strong attack on Congress

Bawankule also said that his party will now work on adding more members in Maharashtra. He said, "The membership campaign had stopped due to the elections in Maharashtra. We have restarted it with a target of 1.5 crore new members in Maharashtra. sunil Rane in Mumbai, Rajesh Pandey in Western maharashtra and other leaders will run the membership campaign.

Shinde faction will hold a meeting of the legislative party today

Mahayuti has registered a record victory by securing 231 seats. bjp has crossed the 100 mark in the 288-member assembly and a total of 132 MLAs have been elected. Eknath Shinde's shiv sena has won 57 seats, ncp 41, Shiv Sena-UBT 20, congress 16 and NCP-SP 10 seats. On the other hand, Eknath Shinde's party will hold a meeting of the legislative party at the Taj Lands End Hotel in which they will choose the leader of their legislative party. Information is also coming out that the swearing-in can be done today. However, till now no official face has come forward from the Mahayuti regarding the CM.
