The bombay high court has granted bail to the lesbian couple arrested in the case of kidnapping a five-year-old girl. manish Pitale's single bench said in its order on november 19 that both the women belong to the LGBTQ community and have already spent eight months in jail. The court also said that what could be worse than the fact that they adopted an illegal path in the desire of a child.
The court said that the couple, along with other accused, separated the minor girl from her parents in the desire of a child. Such people unfortunately shame the society and they should be kept in jail. The court also said in its hearing that at first glance it is a case of kidnapping but it is a bailable offence.
Was arrested in March
The high court said that the couple had got the girl from other accused but there is no evidence that the girl has been exploited. During the hearing, the court said that both the women are lesbians and wanted to have a child together but it was not scientifically possible. In the current situation, they cannot adopt a minor child. A case was registered against both of them in march on the complaint of the girl's parents. There are three other accused in this case. The girl went missing on march 24 this year. She was seen with a woman in the area. After registering the case, the police searched and this lesbian couple was arrested the next day. Both were in jail since then. The lesbian couple is accused of giving 9 thousand rupees to the accused to arrange for a girl child.
