Imran Khan is powerful even while in jail!
Amid rising political and economic tensions in pakistan, indian experts have expressed the possibility that the government of Prime minister Shahbaz Sharif may be in trouble. Economic crisis, rising inflation, and political instability have complicated the situation in Pakistan. Dissatisfaction with the government is constantly increasing among opposition parties and the public. Meanwhile, indian experts believe that this could be a sign of political change.
Pakistan is currently facing a serious crisis, as tensions are increasing in the country over the imprisonment of former prime minister and pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan. PTI workers have started marching towards Islamabad demanding the release of imran khan from jail. During this, reports of violence are coming from all over the country. This situation is increasing the possibility of civil war in Pakistan.
'The situation may get out of control'
Imran Khan's arrest has badly affected Pakistan's politics and governance. Tensions are at a peak in Islamabad. indian security expert Sushant Sareen commented on this and said that the situation could get out of control. He wrote on X, "If prime minister Shahbaz Sharif does not remain in his post by 2024 or army Chief Asim Munir is overthrown, it will not be unexpected." Sareen also said that imran khan has proven his political strength while in jail. He believes that the only way to deal with imran khan is to either kill him, which will increase the risk of civil war, or let him come to power, which could lead to separation and violence.
Situation of protests and repression in Pakistan
PTI has called on the people to take to the streets to "break the shackles of slavery". khyber pakhtunkhwa Chief minister Ali Amin Gandapur and Imran Khan's wife Bushra Bibi led a convoy from Peshawar to Islamabad. In response, the administration has blocked the highway with containers and imposed Section 144 to prohibit public gatherings.
The situation in Islamabad has become so dire that a huge amount of resources and security forces have been deployed to stop the protests. Sushant Sareen, in another post, called it ridiculous and said, "Imran Khan, while in jail, is intimidating the army and the government so much that the capital has been shut down, the internet is shut down, raids are being conducted, and hundreds of people are being arrested to crush the protests."
