China, canada and... I will impose heavy duties...?
The newly elected President of the united states donald trump said that he will impose 25 per cent duty on all products coming from canada and mexico and 10 per cent duty on goods from china to stop the flow of illegal immigrants and drugs into the US. donald trump informed on his social media platform 'Truth' on monday (November 25, 2024) that after assuming the office of President on january 20, he will first sign executive orders imposing duties on these three countries.
He said, 'As everyone knows, thousands of people are coming through mexico and canada and bringing many crimes and drugs with them. Right now the caravan of thousands of people coming from mexico comes through our current open border.' donald trump said, 'On january 20, as one of my first executive orders, I will sign all the necessary documents to impose a 25 percent duty on all products coming to the US from mexico and canada ....'
He said, 'This duty will remain in force until drugs, especially fentanyl, and all illegal foreigners stop doing all this in our country. Both Mexico and canada have full authority and power to easily solve this long-standing problem.' donald trump said, 'We demand that they use this power and until they do so, they will have to pay a very big price.'
Apart from this, the newly-elected President accused china of failing to stop the flow of drugs into the US. He said, 'I have talked to china several times about sending large quantities of drugs, especially fentanyl, to the US, but no solution has been found.' donald trump alleged, 'The Chinese representatives had told me that they would provide the maximum punishment, death penalty, for any drug smuggler caught doing this, but unfortunately they never followed it and drugs continued to come to our country on a large scale, especially through Mexico.' He said, 'Until they stop doing this, we will continue to impose a 10 percent duty on all their products coming to America in addition to any additional duty.' donald trump said that the executive order in this regard will be signed on january 20, 2025, the first day of his presidency.
