A congress delegation led by UP congress President ajay Rai was going to meet the families affected in the sambhal violence. But before that, heavy police force was deployed and barricades were put up outside the residences of congress leaders in lucknow and the State congress Committee office in Lucknow. ajay Rai told the media that we had decided to go to sambhal on december 2, the ban on the entry of public representatives was to be lifted by november 30. Now they have suddenly extended this ban till december 10.
He also said that the government clearly wants to hide its shortcomings. I have been issued a notice and it has been said that my visit will lead to chaos. Certainly, we also do not want chaos but peace. I want my leadership to know the atrocities and injustice that the police and the government have done there. They (police) have given me a notice but I will go there peacefully. If we are stopped, we will protest peacefully in a Gandhian way. Because we are followers of mahatma Gandhi. Let us tell you that ajay Rai also garlanded Gandhiji's statue.
