Reportedly Maharashtra's acting chief minister Eknath Shinde can hold a meeting with senior leaders of his party on monday (2 December). Sources claim that in this meeting Eknath Shinde will discuss with his leaders which portfolios will be given to shiv sena in the cabinet. Sources also told that shiv sena leaders are also going to focus on which portfolios they have to stick to, like earlier Eknath Shinde had Urban Development Ministry, that portfolio should also remain with Shinde. Apart from this, there is also a discussion that Shinde can also ask for home Ministry.
Sources also claim that Eknath Shinde and his leaders are adamant on the point that all the portfolios which Shinde and his leader had in the previous government should be given to them again. However, on Sunday, shiv sena chief Eknath Shinde said, "The government will be formed. There is coordination among all our three parties. What we get is not our decision, what the people of maharashtra get is our decision. Our responsibility has increased because the people of maharashtra have given us a lot, now we have to develop them. We have to take forward the public welfare schemes."
Moreover he also said, "In the history till date, we have started development on such a large scale and many welfare schemes for the public within two to two and a half years. This is a historic government that has done so many schemes in two and a half years. This will be written in golden letters. Our government is the government of the common man. What we said, we did it."
