Reportedly assam cm Himanta Biswa Sarma has banned the consumption of beef in restaurants and public places in his state. Shiv Sena-UBT mp priyanka Chaturvedi has taunted the assam government's decision and said that if they think they will get any political benefit from this, then they should remember what happened in the jharkhand elections. Talking to news agency, priyanka Chaturvedi said, "It is the government's job to take this decision. There is nothing political in this but the important thing is that the cm hopes that he will get some political benefit from this. This was a choice he had to make and he has made his choice.

Meanwhile priyanka Chaturvedi said that if Himanta Biswa Sarma thinks that he will get any political benefit from this, then he should remember that he has lost the election while being in-charge of jharkhand due to Hindu Muslim divide. On this decision, Himanta Biswa Sarma said that we had also brought a law three years ago to stop cow slaughter in Assam. This has helped in stopping cow slaughter. We have decided that now beef will not be served in hotels or restaurants in Assam.

The cm of assam said that he has decided to ban the consumption of beef in hotels, restaurants and public places. Earlier in assam, eating beef was banned near temples but now this decision has been implemented in the entire state. That is, the decision which was taken three years ago has now been expanded by the Himanta Biswa Sarma government.
