Meanwhile the investigation has also revealed that when the accused failed to attack salman khan, they focused their entire attention on baba Siddiqui and his son Zeeshan Siddiqui. On october 12, they succeeded in killing baba Siddiqui, but Zeeshan narrowly escaped as he had left his office a few minutes before the murder.

After this, the accused shifted their attention from salman khan to baba Siddiqui. The actor was already under Y Plus category security due to threats from the lawrence gang. After the murder of baba Siddiqui, the number of policemen deployed for his security was further increased.
