JNU's former student leader and writer Shehla Rashid has praised prime minister narendra modi and called him a fair administrator. While praising PM Modi, she also mentioned many schemes being run by him. The writer claimed that the benefits of his schemes are reaching everyone. She also said that the PM does not publicize the work done for Muslims. When asked how prime minister narendra modi is different from other leaders, writer Shehla Rashid said, "See, whenever PM narendra modi brings a scheme, be it Awas Yojana, Mudra Yojana or any other, everyone is getting its benefits. If you look at the Sachar Committee report, it was written in it that at that time Muslim women were discriminated against under schemes like jawahar Yojana.''

Everyone is getting the benefits of schemes without discrimination - Shehla Rashid

In a conversation with news agency INS, Shehla Rashid further said, ''Today PM narendra modi has digitalized all the systems. No one is sitting there to discriminate against you. Everyone is getting the benefits of these schemes without discrimination. This is a big change. The thing that is different about prime minister narendra modi is that he does not publicize his work. He does not say that we have done this for Muslims, we have done that for Muslims. Whereas he might have done it."

PM Modi does not even expect votes from us - Shehla Rashid

Shehla Rashid, while praising PM Modi, also said, "PM Modi says that there are only four castes in India. He has said four of these - youth, poverty, women and something like this. He is developing those who need development but he does not discuss about it. He is not even expecting votes from us. He wants the Muslim community to stand on its own feet and develop itself. He talks about reforms for the Muslim community and says that you should progress." She further said, "PM says that india is a free country. If you want to become a journalist, you can become one. If you want to become an actor, you can become one. All this will depend on your merit. Some parties are keeping us in the illusion that we cannot progress until someone from their family takes up the post of prime minister, but there is nothing like that."
