Violent protests took place for the second day on wednesday in protest against the damage to the replica of the indian Constitution in Parbhani city of Central Maharashtra. After this, Section 144 was imposed there. At the same time, DM Raghunath Khandu has given information about the situation in Parbhani now. He also told that so far 50 people have been arrested in this case.

Parbhani DM Raghunath Khandu Gawade said, "The SP and I went there and explained to the activists there and garlanded the statue of Babasaheb Ambedkar and the Constitution. On december 10, all this happened peacefully. But on wednesday (December 11) they were going to do a symbolic protest, but after 12-12.30 pm, roads were blocked at many places and arson also took place at some places. Stone pelting also took place. After that, the police lathicharged and also fired tear gas shells." 'Law and order under control'

DM Gavade further said, "After this, the police arrested about 50 people and an FIR was also registered against them. SRPF contingent is also present in the city, adequate police force is deployed. Therefore, law and order is under control right now. There is no problem. During this, 5 to 6 police personnel suffered minor injuries, some police vehicles were also damaged, private properties were also damaged. We have formed 8 teams for Panchnama. The process has started."

'Women entered the chamber'

He further said, "The main accused was arrested on december 10 and a case was registered against him. He is in police custody. If there is someone behind this, the police is investigating it. Strict action will be taken. Around 100 women and girls entered my chamber. There was a system here but we could not use force on women, so our team tried to convince them but they were not ready to listen to us. They broke some of my chairs and files. They were taken out after adequate police force reached here."
