maharashtra deputy chief minister Eknath Shinde held a meeting with shiv sena MLAs, MPs and office bearers on thursday (December 12) amid preparations for the BMC elections. After the important meeting of shiv sena leaders, Eknath Shinde said that this meeting was about the municipal elections in Mumbai. The way Mahayuti fought the assembly elections with full force, it will fight the civic elections in the same way.
Eknath Shinde said, "The people of mumbai are going to get full benefit of the work done by our Mahayuti government in the last 2.5 years. This was a very important meeting. Just like Mahayuti fought the assembly elections with full force, we will fight the civic elections as well, will win with a huge majority and will make the mumbai that people want."
What else did Shinde say?
He said, "Mumbai is an international city, where people from all over the world come, so all the facilities should be there here. The work that should have been done earlier did not happen but many works have started during our tenure."
Taking a dig at shiv sena (UBT) chief uddhav thackeray, Shinde said, "Those who were in power earlier did not do the work that should have been done. The undivided shiv sena controlled the country's richest municipal body BMC for 25 consecutive years from 1997 to 2022."
Big victory in the assembly
Let us tell you that the Bharatiya Janata Party-led Mahayuti performed brilliantly in the maharashtra assembly elections. The Mahayuti won 235 out of 288 seats in those elections. Other major constituents of the Mahayuti include shiv sena and Nationalist congress Party. If we talk about BMC, it is currently under the control of shiv sena (UBT) and if Mahayuti succeeds in snatching it from uddhav thackeray, then his political existence will suffer a major blow.
