Recently the first list of candidates of bharatiya janata party (BJP) for delhi assembly elections can be released soon. If party sources are to be believed, the first list can be released by the end of December. However, bjp is in a dilemma regarding the candidate list. The problem for bjp is that there are more than one strong contenders on many assembly seats. According to party sources, suggestions of three or four names have come from each of the 70 assembly constituencies. However, it was not very difficult to decide the names of candidates in some assemblies. Most of the assembly seats are such where the number of claimants for the ticket is high. Now even after assessing all the aspects, difficulties are being faced in deciding the name of a candidate.
Meanwhile bjp has intensified its preparations for the delhi assembly elections. A committee has been formed to release the list of its candidates which will submit its report soon. By the end of this month, bjp can release its first list, which may include the names of about 50 candidates.
Moreover if sources are to be believed, the name of delhi bjp state president Virendra Sachdeva can also be included in the first list. Apart from this, the names of former DCW chief Barkha Shukla Singh, Imtiaz Bakshi, Satish Upadhyay, Pravesh Verma, Anil Vajpayee, Arvinder Singh Lovely, Manjinder Singh Sirsa and ravindra Lohia are also in discussion. For information, let us tell you that Arvind Kejriwal's aam aadmi party has released two candidate lists so far and announced the names of a total of 31 candidates. In both the lists, new faces have been given a chance, while the tickets of many have also been cut. Apart from this, the seats of old MLAs have changed. It can be said that this time the seat of any candidate has not been repeated.
