Delhi's IGI airport police has achieved another major success while taking action against illegal agents. It is reported that the IGI airport police has arrested an agent Avtar Singh from Haryana, who used to send people abroad illegally. The accused agent had prepared someone else's passport to send a person to Panama.
According to DCP usha Rangnani, on november 20, 2024, a person arrived at IGI airport from panama with a passport issued in the name of Vikramjeet Maltani. During immigration clearance, his identity was found suspicious. When his passport and other documents were examined, it was found that his real name is Gurvinder Pal Singh, a resident of Yamunanagar, Haryana. Investigation of the record of his travel documents revealed that he was going to France. That too on someone else's passport.
After preliminary investigation, Gurvinder Pal Singh was handed over to the IGI airport Police. The police registered a case against him for cheating the indian Immigration and arrested him.
He had gone abroad for a better life
During interrogation by the IGI police, the accused Gurvinder Pal Singh told that many of his relatives and friends were earning well by living abroad. In the desire to live a better life, he also planned to go abroad and he came in contact with an agent Avtar Singh. Who promised to send him abroad illegally for Rs 25 lakh. After paying the deal amount, the accused agent took his passport in january 2024 and then arranged for him to travel to Qatar, france and Spain. His passport was lost in Spain. After which agent Avtar Singh arranged a passport for him in the name of someone named Vikramjeet Multani and he went to brazil and Colombia. Further, the agent arranged for his illegal entry into panama in october 2024 but he was caught in Panama. From where he was deported and sent back to India.
