The cabinet of the Mahayuti government in maharashtra has been expanded. Many old leaders have not got a place in it. Meanwhile, senior bjp leader Sudhir Mungantiwar claimed that his name was in the list of ministers who took oath a day earlier, but it was later removed. A day after not getting a place in the expanded council of ministers led by devendra fadnavis, Mungantiwar said that he is neither upset nor disappointed. He said that he is an organization person. The former forest minister said in nagpur on monday, "I will continue to work for the people of my constituency and raise issues related to their welfare in the assembly." chief minister devendra fadnavis has indicated that the bjp leadership may assign some other role to Mungantiwar.
The chief minister said, "I have spoken to Mungantiwar. He is a senior leader and the leadership can assign him any other responsibility." A total of 39 MLAs of Mahayuti allies took oath as ministers, including 33 cabinet-level and six other ministers of state, at the raj bhavan in nagpur on sunday as part of the first expansion of the Fadnavis-led council of ministers.
The bjp got 19 ministerial posts, while the Eknath Shinde-led shiv sena got 11 and Ajit Pawar's nationalist congress party (NCP) got nine ministerial posts.
Mungantiwar claimed that he was told earlier that his name was included in the list of ministers. The seven-time bjp mla told reporters in nagpur, "There is no reason for me to be upset, because whatever role the party assigns to me, I play it. The only issue is that I was told that my name was there (in the list of ministers). But yesterday it was not there. I don't know why my name was removed."
Mungantiwar did not attend the first day of the legislative session on monday, although he was in Nagpur. When asked if the bjp leadership was upset with him, Mungantiwar said that such issues are not expressed by not getting a ministerial post. He said that if this is the case, he will call him and talk to him. He said, "Maybe bjp has fixed some other responsibility for me." Mungantiwar on monday met Union minister and nagpur MP nitin gadkari at his residence in Nagpur. He described his meeting with Gadkari as a meeting between elder brother and younger brother. Mungantiwar said, "When such things come up, I take his guidance."
