Chief minister Atishi said, "A soul-stirring incident happened with Nirbhaya. Then we all took a vow that we will not let this happen to any sister or daughter in Delhi. Are women safe in delhi today after twelve years, the answer is no. Even today women are not safe in delhi, why are those who are responsible for their safety failing to provide them safety."
'Women will come out on the streets'
The cm further said, "Every day three to four women are raped. The responsibility of the safety of women of delhi lies with the BJP's central government. Is the BJP's central government able to provide security to women today? Is the delhi Police able to protect women from violence? Today I want to say that you will not be able to suppress the voice of women. If this attitude continues, the women of delhi will come out on the streets."

At the Mahila Adalat, sanjay singh said, "On this day, Nirbhaya died. Even today delhi is not safe for women. women are so scared that they are not able to tell their views openly even on this platform. All of you should observe two minutes of silence for that brave daughter Nirbhaya."
