The situation in the capital delhi has started deteriorating once again due to pollution. In view of this, GRAP-3 has been implemented in Delhi. Actually, due to slow wind speed and weather conditions in delhi, the AQI has reached the highest level of very poor category. Due to which GRAP-3 has to be implemented. Under GRAP-3, schools up to class v in Delhi-NCR will run on hybrid mode. Also, delhi registered small cargo vehicles will be banned. Only cargo vehicles related to essential services will be exempted.
office timing may change
During this time, BS-3 petrol and BS-4 diesel vehicles will be banned. Apart from this, the central government can take a decision to change the office timing of its employees. Under GRAP-3, schools in delhi, Gurugram, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, gautam Buddha Nagar, schools up to class v will run in both online and offline mode.
The state governments of delhi and NCR have been directed to stagger the arrival and departure timings of employees of public offices and municipal bodies under GRAP 3. The central government may also decide to make similar time differences for central government offices in Delhi-NCR.
AQI reaches 351 in Delhi
According to the india Meteorological Department (IMD), cold wave conditions persist in delhi and the temperature has gone down to 3.5 degrees Celsius in the Pusa area and 4.1 degrees Celsius in the Ayanagar area. According to the Central pollution Control Board, the air Quality Index (AQI) in delhi was recorded at 351 at 9 am. According to the IMD, the maximum temperature is expected to reach 23 degrees Celsius. The humidity level was recorded at 100 percent at 8.30 am.
