Chhagan Bhujbal, a senior leader of the ajit pawar faction in Maharashtra, is very angry at not being made a minister. Meanwhile, former minister Bhujbal said that he was offered a rajya sabha seat eight days ago, but he turned it down. Bhujbal, an mla from Yeola in Nashik district, said he rejected the offer of the rajya sabha seat as it would have betrayed his assembly constituency, which he won in the state elections last month. The former minister of state said, "When I wanted to go to the rajya sabha earlier this year, I was told that I should contest the assembly elections. I was offered a rajya sabha seat eight days ago, which I turned down. I said I can consider the rajya sabha option after a year or two but not immediately.''

Did not speak to Ajit Pawar

Bhujbal said he has not spoken to ncp chief and deputy chief minister ajit pawar after being denied a state cabinet berth. When maratha quota activists were demanding inclusion of OBC community in the OBC category, I had raised my voice for the OBC community. He said the Ladki Behen Yojana and OBC helped the Mahayuti win the elections. When asked about his next step, Chhagan Bhujbal, who left for Nashik after the assembly session in nagpur was adjourned for the day, said, "Let's see. Jahan nahi chaina, wahan nahi rahna."

Bhujbal, who was the Food and Civil Supplies minister in the previous Mahayuti government, said, "I am a simple political worker. It does not matter whether I am sidelined or rewarded.''

I cannot be eliminated - Bhujbal

The ncp leader said that ministerial posts come and go, but I cannot be eliminated. 10 former ministers have been removed from the cabinet and 16 new faces have been included. Former ncp ministers Bhujbal and dilip Walse Patil, BJP's Sudhir Mungantiwar and Vijaykumar Gavit are some of the prominent leaders who have not got a place in the cabinet. These leaders have expressed their displeasure over this.
