Reportedly the yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has started a one-time electricity bill payment settlement scheme for electricity consumers. It is being said that they will benefit a lot from this. The scheme is going to start from december 15. Under this, 80,000 consumers in Tiloi division of Amethi alone will get 100 percent discount in surcharge. In the first phase, 100 percent discount will be given from 15 to 31 december and in the second phase, 75 percent discount will be given from 1 january to 15 January. In the third phase, there will be a slight discount from 15 to 31 January.
Perhaps many teams have been formed in Tiloi division to make the benefits of one-time pending bill payment scheme reach every consumer. He said, "In the first phase, if those who pay their electricity bill of less than Rs 5,000 in lump sum, they will get 100 percent interest discount. Whereas, those whose bill is more than Rs 5,000 will get 70 percent discount. This scheme is for all domestic, commercial and private institution consumers."
Moreover he said, "A camp has been set up for the consumers from outside who cannot reach the counter. They can register there. If they cannot reach there, they can register by visiting our website. To register, they will have to deposit 30 percent of their outstanding amount. Special care is being taken to ensure that people do not face any kind of problem." He said that those who are not paying their dues despite such schemes, their connection will be disconnected and FIR will be registered if they use electricity despite this. Let us tell you that for those who have electricity dues in the state, the government has brought a scheme to clear it soon. Through this, there is a plan to collect it from the consumers by giving discount in interest.
