Reportedly Delhi's IGI airport police team has arrested the agent in the fake passport case. The agent has been identified as Bhupendra Singh alias Vicky Nagar. Vicky is a resident of Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh. According to the police, the agent had arranged for a fake passport to send the couple to the USA. The passenger who arrived at IGI airport was exposed during the checking of documents. The passenger was preparing to catch a flight to Canada. The appearance of the 24 year old youth was changed in the fake passport. His appearance was changed to that of an old man.
Meanwhile DCP usha Rangni said that 67 year old ravindra Singh reached the airport on june 18 to go to Canada. Immigration officials checked the documents. During interrogation, the investigating officers suspected the passenger. The passenger's voice did not match his age. It seemed that the passenger was trying to speak by changing his voice. Strict interrogation revealed that the passenger was not an old man but a 24-year-old youth. The real identity is Guru Sewak Singh, resident of Lucknow. The passenger travelling on a fake passport was handed over to the IGI airport Police. During interrogation, he made a shocking revelation to the police. He told that the agent had committed a fraud to send him abroad with his wife. The passenger who wanted to go to USA came in contact with an agent named Jagdish Singh. He claimed to send the couple to USA via Canada. After the deal was fixed for Rs 60 lakh, the agent demanded an advance. Rs 30 lakh was paid to the agent as advance. It was decided to pay the remaining amount after reaching the US. The accused agent arranged for a fake passport.
Moreover the passenger was given the appearance of a 67 year old man through makeover. After reaching the airport, the fraud was exposed. The wife ran away from the airport after seeing the opportunity. The police also caught the wife. The DCP said that a team was formed under the supervision of ACP VK PS Yadav to arrest the agent. The team included SHO Sushil Goyal, Inspector Kedar, Head Constable Dalbir. The investigation team arrested four agents jagjit singh alias Jaggi, Gurumukh Singh, Parambir Singh and Kirandeep Singh, residents of UP and Uttarakhand. During interrogation, the active role of accused agent Bhupendra Singh was revealed. The police was looking for Bhupendra Singh. After finding out the location, the police arrested the accused from Uttar Pradesh.
