Chief priest acharya Satyendra Das said, "Ever since the change has happened in bangladesh, such a situation has been there. It is very disgusting. The government is talking but this situation will not be solved by talks. Only if the government takes any cognizance to save the Hindu community there, then they can be saved. The government should adopt such a policy which protects both the temple and the people there. Such incidents (of atrocities on minorities) are increasing there every day." At the same time, according to the 'Daily Star' newspaper, the police have arrested a person in connection with the vandalism in a temple. Citing temple sources and locals, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Haluaghat police station Abul Khair said that miscreants vandalized two idols of Bondarpara temple located in Shakui union of Haluaghat in the early hours of Friday. He said that no case has been registered in this incident so far and no arrest has been made. In another incident in the early hours of thursday, criminals vandalized an idol at Polashkand kali temple in Beldora union of Haluaghat. police on friday arrested a 27-year-old man of Polashkand village for his alleged involvement. The OC said that the arrested Alaaluddin confessed his crime during interrogation. Earlier on thursday, Polashkand kali Mandir Committee President Suwash Chandra Sarkar had lodged a case against unknown persons.
