During the winter holidays from 1 to 15 january 2025, 10 days of extra (remedial) classes will be conducted. The new exercise is expected to help children who are weak in studies prepare better for the annual and board exams. The order issued by the Directorate of education states that in remedial classes, it will be mandatory for students of class 9th and 11th to study English, Science and Maths every day.

Perhaps students of class 10-12th will have to focus on revision and solving pre-board question papers. teachers have been asked to also tell the students the method of solving the board paper correctly subject wise. The Directorate has directed all schools to prepare a time table for remedial classes. The principal will have to submit a copy of the time table to the DEO (Zone). According to the order, each period of remedial will be of at least 1 hour. students will be able to complete the syllabus by attending remedial classes during winter vacations.

Moreover during remedial classes, it will be compulsory for students to wear school dress. At the same time, guest teachers or contract teachers will also be able to teach in remedial classes. In schools with double shifts, extra classes will be held in different wings. In case of lack of space, the HOS of schools with evening shifts can decide the evening time after consulting the concerned DDE (District). The Directorate of Education's decision will help in making the students academically strong and preparing them for a better future. In the order, schools have also been allowed to take decisions as per their convenience.
