The distribution of monthly installments to the beneficiaries of maharashtra government's 'Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana' started again from tuesday (24 December). State minister Aditi Tatkare gave this information. Due to the implementation of the election code of conduct in maharashtra, the distribution of installments was stopped for some time. The minister of women and Child Development said that the installment will be distributed under the scheme in a phased manner.
Assembly elections were held in maharashtra last month. The model code of conduct was in force in the state till the completion of the election process. The maharashtra government launched the 'Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana' earlier this year to provide assistance of Rs 1,500 every month to eligible women. It is believed that this scheme played a big role in the landslide victory of the Bharatiya Janata Party-led Mahayuti in the elections.
2.34 crore beneficiaries under this scheme
Aditi Tatkare said that there are currently 2.34 crore beneficiaries under this scheme and the transfer of installment (DBT) has started from Tuesday. Rs 1,500 will be transferred and after four days it will be available that how many beneficiaries have been given the amount. The number of beneficiaries will increase as per the registration. On a question about the promise of providing Rs 2,100 every month under this scheme, she said that chief minister devendra fadnavis has already said that a decision will be taken in this regard in the next budget.
Along with this, she said that the review of beneficiaries will depend on the complaints received in this regard. Tatkare said in a post on social media platform X that this assistance is to empower women financially and provide stability to their families. Its purpose is not only empowerment but also to increase their confidence. We are confident that the financial assistance received from this scheme will bring positive change in their lives.
