The festival season has begun in the country's capital Delhi. Preparations are being made for christmas and then New Year celebrations. Special events are organized in markets, restaurants and clubs for this. But before this, the MCD has taken a big decision in view of the crowd in public places on the occasion of christmas and New Year. On the occasion of both these festivals, instructions have been issued to strictly follow the safety rules in view of the crowd in restaurants, banquet halls, clubs and markets in Delhi. For this, orders have been given for random checking.
In a notice issued to the district health officials on Tuesday, the Municipal Corporation of delhi (MCD) has emphasized that traders often allow more customers than permitted, encroach on public places and do business without license or in temporary areas, especially during the festive season at the end of the year.
Dealing with the problem of crowd is an important challenge
MCD has expressed concern that in the past years, on the occasion of festivals, more people than the fixed seats are allowed to enter restaurants, banquet halls, clubs and markets. This is a serious violation. MCD has said that this also leads to a decline in the quality of food items and increases excessive pressure on restaurants and food corners. Due to this, the possibility of any kind of accident increases significantly.
Along with this, MCD has also issued notices for businesses encroaching on public places. MCD has also expressed concern about unlicensed food corners in its notice. MCD has directed to investigate such violations and conduct illegal inspections to protect public health and safety.
