Reportedly there is good news for the MLAs of Uttar Pradesh. Soon they are going to get relief from the hassle of toll tax while traveling on national highways. After which they will neither have to reveal their identity for exemption from toll nor will they have to show their ID card, identity card or any pass. Now free fast tag will be installed on their vehicles, after which they will be able to speed on the national highway.
Meanwhile UP deputy cm Keshav prasad Maurya has given this assurance to all the MLAs on behalf of the government in the UP Legislative Council. He said that soon free fast tag will be installed on the vehicles of all the MLAs in the state, so that they can travel without showing the pass on toll tax. Maurya said that he will write a letter to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways in this regard and will provide this facility to the MLAs of UP.
Actually, independent member of UP Legislative Council akash Agarwal had asked this question to the government, while answering which Keshav prasad Maurya said that it is not a good situation that MLAs have to wait for verification at the toll plaza. Therefore, soon the facility of free fast tag will be made available to the MLAs. akash Agarwal, while presenting his point, said that on december 2, when he was going through lucknow Agra Expressway, he was stopped at Fatehabad toll plaza on the way. During this, the toll operator stopped him for five minutes and investigated and he was also misbehaved with. After which Chairman Kunwar Manvendra Singh directed Industrial Development minister Nand Gopal Gupti Nandi to take cognizance of this matter and get it investigated and also inform the house about what action was taken on it.
