Patna police reached the house of prashant Kishore, the architect of Jan Suraj, on friday (27 December) morning. In fact, on thursday (26 December), prashant kishore had said that if the candidates march, he will walk with them. He will be at the forefront to face the lathi blows. After the police arrived, prashant kishore told reporters why the police had reached his house.
prashant kishore said, "They are worried that we might go on a march. The administration is in panic. PK said that if they have no fear, no concern or no issue, then why are they using the police administration? I will request the government and the chief minister to take cognizance of the students' pain. Meet them personally or if they cannot, then form a delegation that can discuss the students' demands. It is a question of the lives of four lakh students. They are sitting here on a dharna. There is no arrangement for food and accommodation for them. You are issuing orders sitting in your bungalow here. You are getting lathi charges done. If this happens, it will be opposed." prashant kishore said, "I have been in bihar for 2.5 years, visiting villages, but we never participate in any dharna-demonstration or march. Yesterday (Thursday) I went there only to find out what the students' issues are. The way they were brutally beaten on the road, Sonu, a child from a poor family, committed suicide. There is no statement from the government on this, nor has any effort been made to help that family. I have been told that four children are still admitted in PMCH who were injured by the police lathi. I went there yesterday with the feeling that the students should not consider themselves alone."
prashant kishore lashes out at Nitish Kumar
PK said that if nitish kumar wants to convert democracy into lathi-tantra in bihar, then this will not be allowed to happen. Next time when the students stand on the road, prashant Kishore, Jan Suraj and all our colleagues who respect these feelings of democracy, we will stand with the students with full strength. Further prashant kishore said that lathi is being used every other day and nitish kumar is not even aware of it. Whenever students go on a march, if that march is done in a democratic and peaceful manner, then prashant kishor and his Jan Suraj colleagues will accompany them to lead the march. We want to see how the police use lathi.
