Former prime minister of the country and senior congress leader Dr. manmohan singh died on the night of 26 december at AIIMS, Delhi. He was brought to AIIMS after his health deteriorated at home, where he breathed his last at around 9.51 pm. Leaders of all political parties are reacting to his death. JDU leader KC Tyagi said that I pay tribute on behalf of my party. The kind of work he did regarding the economic reforms of the country, today's good and shining economy is due to his efforts. The whole country is indebted to him.
KC Tyagi further said that I have got the opportunity to work with many Prime Ministers in the Lok Sabha. But he was a unique person who was more calm than them, more honest than them, spoke less than them and said his point silently.

Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar posted on instagram and wrote that the death of former prime minister Dr. manmohan singh is sad. He was a skilled politician and economist. Under his leadership, India's economy got a new direction. The death of Dr. manmohan singh is an irreparable loss for indian politics. I pray to god for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
Due to the death of the former prime minister, the program of Pragati yatra in muzaffarpur has also been canceled today. Giving information about this on JDU's instagram account, it was written that today the country is mourning the death of former prime minister Dr. manmohan Singh. Due to state mourning, chief minister Nitish Kumar has directed to postpone the proposed Pragati yatra of today and tomorrow. Hence the pre-scheduled Pragati yatra of muzaffarpur and Vaishali is postponed.
