In view of this, the police administration has prepared a special route diversion plan to improve traffic and security arrangements. This plan will be effective from 31 december 2024 to 1 january 2025. During this period, tourists coming from outside states will not be allowed to enter Kashipur. Under this, tourists coming from delhi, Uttar Pradesh and other states will be sent to nainital and Ramnagar from Doraha instead of Kashipur. From here tourists will be able to reach their destination via Bajpur. vehicles coming from delhi or other states will be diverted directly from the highway to Doraha. Locals coming from the highway will be allowed to enter the city only after police checking and entry of big vehicles will be stopped in the city.
Meanwhile ASP Abhay Singh made it clear that tampering with law and order in the name of celebration will not be tolerated. police will be on alert mode on New Year's night. Strict action will be taken against those who create ruckus on the roads, drive after drinking alcohol and play dj at high volume late at night. police have instructed the hotel and restaurant operators of Ramnagar and nainital not to allow any kind of disorderly event during the New Year celebrations.
