Former head of bihar State Religious Trust Board (BSBRT) and retired indian Police service (IPS) officer acharya kishore Kunal died of heart attack in patna on sunday (29 December). His family members gave this information. At the same time, Uttar Pradesh chief minister yogi Adityanath has also expressed grief over his death.

cm yogi wrote on instagram - "The death of acharya kishore Kunal, founder member of Shri ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust, Secretary of Mahavir Mandir Trust is extremely sad and an irreparable loss to the social and religious sector. Humble tribute to him! Pray to Lord Shri ram to give a place to the departed soul in his lotus feet and give strength to the bereaved family and well-wishers to bear this immense sorrow. Om Shanti!"

Kunal's family members said that he suffered a heart attack in the morning after which he was immediately taken to the hospital, where he died. Kunal, a retired indian Police service (IPS) officer of the 1972 batch, was the secretary of Patna's famous Mahavir Mandir Trust, which also runs several hospitals in the state.

bihar deputy chief minister Samrat Choudhary expressed condolences on the demise of kishore Kunal. In his condolence message, the deputy chief minister said, "Kishore Kunal ji's life was dedicated to social service, religious and cultural upliftment. He gave Mahavir Mandir a national identity and did unprecedented work for the upliftment of the weaker sections of the society. His contribution is difficult to express in words." The deputy chief minister said, "His demise is an irreparable loss to the society. May god give peace to the departed soul and strength to his family to bear this grief."
