Political parties are seen active regarding BMC elections and all are busy making their own strategies. Meanwhile, Abu Azmi, the president of Samajwadi party in maharashtra, has claimed that his party will contest these elections alone. He also said that we are secular people and our party does not tolerate communalism. On the question of contesting BMC elections with alliance, he said, "I have already separated from Mahavikas Aghadi because we cannot tolerate communalism. Now you saw that uddhav thackeray ji said that he will contest BMC elections alone. Samajwadi party will also contest elections alone."

On how many seats will Samajwadi party contest BMC elections?

The state president of SP in maharashtra further claimed, "This time we will contest elections on at least 150 seats. We are seeing that even after the alliance, there is no coordination. There is a fight till the end regarding the distribution of seats and after taking the seats they lose. That is why Samajwadi party will fight elections separately.

Samajwadi party Secular- Abu Azmi

He also said, ''You have heard uddhav thackeray ji saying that he is going to fight separately. I have already said that Samajwadi party cannot stay with those who talk about Hindutva, congratulate those who demolished Babri Masjid. Samajwadi party is a secular party.''

SP will follow the principles of ram Manohar Lohia- Abu Azmi

Abu Azmi further said that mulayam singh yadav ji, who followed the principles of ram Manohar Lohia, never tolerated communalism. The party saw Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Parsis, Dalits, farmers, laborers and youth in the same way. Samajwadi party will work on the same line.'' Let us tell you that uddhav thackeray had recently asked his party workers to take the issue of Hindutva to the public for the BMC elections. He had said, "Shiv Sena (UBT) is already fighting for Hindutva, will fight tomorrow too and will keep fighting." It is worth noting that in the recently held maharashtra assembly elections, Mahavikas Aghadi had to face defeat. MVA had won only 46 out of 288 assembly seats in the state. In this, uddhav faction's shiv sena (UBT) won 20 seats.
