The punjabi Bagh area of West delhi echoed with the sound of gunfire on sunday morning when an encounter took place between the police team and the criminals in Madipur. Two wanted criminals have been nabbed in this encounter conducted by the team of the Operation Cell of the district. The bullet hit the leg of both the criminals, after which the police overpowered them and seized their weapons. Both the criminals have been identified as Rohit and Rinku. They are wanted criminals involved in many robbery cases and have been involved in many incidents of armed robbery in delhi and MP.
Information about two wanted criminals was received from secret sources
Giving information about the incident, DCP Vichitra Veer said that around 4:30 am on sunday, 29 December, the team of the Operation Cell of the Western district received a specific information from secret sources. In which, the presence of two wanted criminals involved in many armed robberies in delhi and madhya pradesh was found in Madipur area of punjabi Bagh. Taking immediate action on this information, several teams were formed and all the routes in the area where the criminals were present were cordoned off.
In retaliation, the police also fired bullets
In the cement siding area of Madipur, the police team blocked the way of the criminals and signaled them to stop, but instead of stopping, they started firing at the police team. One of the bullets hit the bulletproof jacket of a policeman. In retaliation and self-defense, the police team also fired bullets at the criminals, targeting their legs. The bullets of the police hit the legs of both the criminals and they stumbled and fell. After which the police took them under control. The police seized their weapons and arrested them and took them to the hospital for treatment.
More than 80 cases are registered against the criminals
Among the arrested criminals, Rohit is a bad character of Dwarka while the other criminal Rinku is a bad character of Khyala. About 80 criminal cases are registered against both of them. Most of these are robbery cases. Both of them are wanted in a total of 7 cases including those from delhi and outside Delhi.
