Due to government apathy and lack of better facilities in the hospital, a 22-year-old pregnant woman died after giving birth to a child in Palghar. This tribal woman could not get proper treatment after giving birth to the child. It is being told that she died due to postpartum hemorrhage after delivery. According to the Times of india report, this woman lived in a small village of Mokhada in Palghar. She was admitted to a government hospital on december 26. After the birth of the child, she suffered postpartum hemorrhage during which there is excessive bleeding, due to which the mother dies.
The medical center of Mokhada is inadequate to deal with such problems. When the condition worsened, the family was told to show her to a big hospital in Jawhar which was 20-22 kilometers away. The woman was brought to Jawhar Kutir Hospital. She was still in an unconscious state at that time. She was given a blood transfusion, but she remained unconscious. The family was advised to take her to Nashik Civil Hospital as ICU facilities are available there.
The pregnant woman died mid-way
The distance to Nashik was 75-80 km and due to geographical conditions, the ambulance was also moving at a slow speed. In such a situation, due to lack of treatment, Asha died mid-way. On the other hand, Dr. Bharat Mahale of Jawhar Hospital said that the patient was bleeding a lot. We do not have ICU facilities.
Local MP's statement came after the incident
Palghar mp Hemant Savra expressed grief over this incident and said that a 200-bed hospital has been approved in Jawhar and the work will start soon. The work of the Trauma Center building and Palghar Civil Hospital building is almost complete and it will be opened to the public soon.
