The last rites of acharya Kishore Kunal, secretary of Patna's Mahavir Nyas Samiti and former IPS officer, were performed on monday at Kaunhara Ghat in hajipur with full Vedic rituals. After that, the funeral procession of acharya Kishore Kunal started from his residence 'Syan Nilayam' in Kurji, patna at nine in the morning. The funeral procession started from Kurji and reached Kaunhara Ghat in hajipur via Gaushala Road, Sadakat Ashram, Rajiv Nagar, Atal Path and Mahavir temple at patna Junction via gandhi Maidan, Marine Drive, Gaighat, gandhi Setu.
Earlier, tributes were paid to his mortal remains at the Mahavir temple in patna, where a large number of dignitaries and common people arrived to bid him a final farewell. Doctors and staff of hospitals associated with the Mahavir Mandir Trust, teachers of patna University, students and his close associates joined the funeral procession. At the same time, many eminent personalities including leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav, Mokama's bahubali former mla Anant Singh had reached his residence late at night to pay tribute.
